I’m so jealous that you’re in Japan. I went there two years ago and while I’ve quickly gotten over other vacations that place made a fantastic impression on me. Unbelievable place; while not without its problems, it’s easily my favourite country that I’ve ever visited.
Looking through your older posts,
I regret not going to the car museum thing in Tokyo. I did see that Nissan GT-R concept
in Tokyo, I think it was in Ginza.
I saw lots of cool cars in Japan but neglected to take photos of them. That included the F1 race , of which I have one shitty video but tons of awesome memories.
Are you still there? What city has been your favourite place? What’s been your favourite activity? What about your favourite dish/meal so far?

I’m actually not, but I was. Just sort of gathering photos now and making a few posts I planned on making :)
It didn’t leave me wanting more like Europe did. But I liked it and I’ll probably go back some day.
Yep, that was Ginza! So glad I got to see that, blew me away. Just sitting in a showroom on the street too.
I went to these two teamLab exhibits that blew me away. My drive tour thing was good, but these things were incredible. They’re hard to explain but they’re interactive art exhibits.
I had some really good ramen in Osaka. The ramen in Melbourne is actually pretty good, we have some fairly authentic chains outta Japan so I was ready. This one in Osaka was incredible. Interestingly one guy I was with agreed with me, another felt it wasn’t quite up his alley, so I guess it was a personal preference thing. But it was good. And the convenience store food is outta this world ;)

Very cool right. I only saw the one, sitting on the street near where we stayed.

I don’t think that video will do teamLab justice, it looks neat.
We went inside the dealership and eyed a Nismo GT-R. Maybe it’s still there. That whole street made me feel so poor.
I really miss Japanese ramen and convenience stores. My favourite ramen was in Kyoto. It was over an hour wait for a small shop but my friend and I just drank convenience store beers until we got in. Close second (and I mean really close) was a small shop in Yokohama (about a dozen seats, I think) that gave enormous servings for around 700 yen. Convenience store service and selection is just a whole other world compared to Canada.

Too right. TeamLab have exhibitions around the world, if you ever get the chance, do it.
Yep, there was a Nismo GT-R and a Hakosuka too.
An hour! Wish I’d known about these places before I went. The prices were incredible, even for awesome big dishes.
Same. Melbs convenience stores got nothin’

the taxi drivers could sure teach the Melbourne drivers a few things

I reckon!
We got one taxi. Dude took a quick look at the map on my phone with the destination marked, drove us there without a second glance. Was dope

Melbourne driver will toss the Melways at you and expect you to point him in the right direction

Judging by the location, there’s a reasonable possibility that the Brabus has more to do with actual pornography, or at least the proceeds therefrom, than the porn-graphic car.
